Dimensioning - Setting/Changing Defaults

Change these settings for new dimensions or change the settings and select the "Change Dim Setting" for a single dimension that is displayed or "Change All Settings" for all of the dimensions displayed.

Dim Tolerance: Change between decimals and fractions. Uses same default as set for your "dim type" under the "display" tab in the "Options" window under the "Tools" pull-down

Text Size: Uses point size that is scaled to the screen and not the drawing. So as you window in the text will remain the same size (becomes smaller relative to your geometry).

Text Angle: The angle of the text relative to the screen. 90 and -90 will put the text on its side.

Text Color: The color of the text characters

Dim Color: The color of the dimension lines. Note: The dimension lines are the 2 lines that are closest to the text.

Ext Offset: The length of the extension line that is beyond the dimension line. Note: The extension lines are those that connect the dimension lines to the geometry.

Ext Standoff: The distance away from the PickPoint selected.

Ext Color: The color of the extension lines

Arrow Length: The length of the arrow down the dimension lines.

Arrow Width: The width of the arrow across the dimension line.

Ext Color: The color of the extension line.
