Additional Support Services
Preventative Maintenance
The Preventative Maintenance Package provides a comprehensive maintenance service in which a Bend-Tech Applications Engineer performs every step outlined in the official maintenance manual. This includes lubrication tasks, hardware checks, routine inspections, and verification of general machine condition, ensuring all components remain properly maintained and operating as intended.
Regular maintenance not only reduces future repair costs, but also keeps production running confidently and consistently.
Service Calls
Avoiding downtime is central to how Bend-Tech approaches support. When a concern needs more than remote troubleshooting can resolve, Applications Engineers are dispatched on-site for hands-on diagnostics, repairs, and system optimization.
Tier 1: the next available Applications Engineer is sent to the shop
Tier 2: reserved for production-halting situations – a technician is brought on-site as soon as possible, in order to minimize downtime as much as possible.
On-site service calls may include additional charges, with all details communicated before scheduling.
Steps to Streamline Support
Have Relevant Files Open During a Support Request
Having any part or project files open when submitting a support session allows Applications Engineers to troubleshoot with more precision.
Document Any Steps Already Taken
Sharing actions which have already been attempted prevents duplicate efforts and narrows the troubleshooting focus.
Submit a Support Request
Within Bend-Tech Dragon CAD, Dragon CAM, or BOSS, submitting a support request in the software ‘Help’ tab allows Applications Engineers to mirror your workspace and resolve concerns more effectively.
Prepare All Relevant Information in Advance
Details such as the machine’s registered company name, software version, or any recent changes to the system ensure an efficient troubleshooting process.
Provide Supporting Photos or Videos
Visual documentation of the issue often accelerates diagnosis significantly and reduces the need for back-and-forth clarification.
Ensure the Machine Operator is Available
Having the individual who directly observed the issue available eliminates secondhand information and enables accurate, real-time communication.
