Real Work from Day One
Participants work directly with Bend-Tech software and machines – troubleshooting, training, and solving real customer problems in live fabrication environments. The role includes travel to customer shops across the country, providing a front-row view of how a shop floor operates and the fabricators that use Bend-Tech products.
Beyond customer-facing work, participants contribute to new product development and cross-functional projects, collaborating across engineering, sales, software development, marketing, and production – building a hands-on understanding of how products go from concept to consumer.

Job Responsibilities
Applications Engineers play a hands-on role at the intersection of customers, software, and machines. This role builds deep product knowledge while developing cross-functional skills that prepare for long-term career growth.
- Support and train customers via phone, email, remote session, and on-site to troubleshoot workflows and address concerns.
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions on Bend-Tech software and machines either on-site, at our facility, or remotely.
- Test machines and software with engineering, research and development, and software development to provide feedback.
- Create clear documentation and technical resources to support customer success.
- Participate in cross-department project rotations to build broad operational knowledge and advance in skills.

Ryan started at Bend-Tech in May of 2022 as an Applications Engineer, receiving extensive training on all Bend-Tech products and services in order to assist customers with their different needs. During his time in this role, he traveled to customer job sites, as well as collaborated with different internal teams including marketing, research and development, and engineering to help improve products, services, and customer experience. Ryan has since channeled his skills developed as an Applications Engineer into his new role as Assistant Supply Chain Manager. His technical expertise, system-level understanding, and communication skills have allowed him to smoothly transition into his new role where he contributes to supply chain strategy and day-to-day operations.
